Dear Colleagues,
At the upcoming Academy of Management Meeting in Anaheim, CA, Professors Vicky Parker & Chris Louis from the Department of Health Law, Policy and Management (HLPM) at the Boston University School of Public Health will be meeting with faculty interested in our department as we expand our educational programs. HLPM is particularly interested in candidates with interests in operations management and quality improvement and with experience teaching in those areas. We are seeking candidates to join the faculty in our CAHME-accredited MPH program in healthcare management, as early as January 2017, for a visiting appointment. Boston University SPH's mission is to improve the health of local, national and international populations, particularly the disadvantaged, underserved and vulnerable, through excellence and innovation in education, research and service. Focused on research and education that is directed at improving access, quality and value in healthcare, the HLPM department values understanding the health sector from multiple perspectives, with emphasis on underrepresented stakeholders; interdisciplinary team work and analysis, both in research and in practice; and the effective implementation of evidence derived from rigorous research into practice. If you are interested in arranging a meeting, please send your CV and a brief cover note to Karen Molloy at
