Academy of Management Session 11678, HCM Research Incubator: Research in the Rough (application required)The HCM Division invites interested individuals to participate in a highly-interactive research PDW during the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA. "Research in the Rough" will be offered on Saturday, August 5 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in the Roswell Room at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The session is designed to assist researchers with all levels of experience (doctoral students, early careerists, senior scholars) wishing to receive feedback on their research. Because of the format of the session and limited capacity, you must apply in advance of the annual meeting to be able to participate. Information about the application and registration process are provided below. The goal of this PDW is to provide attendees with constructive feedback and advice on health care management related research projects that are in progress, but not ready for submission. Projects may range from early conceptual stages to later stages (i.e. writing a manuscript). Participants will receive feedback, in a collegial setting, from health care management researchers in the field on key issues attendees are facing in their projects. Participants will need to submit an application and will then be matched with 4 research mentors based on the nature of their research project and the expertise of our esteemed panel. Each participant will discuss, one-on-one, their research projects with each of their 4 mentors, rotating in timed increments.Application Due: Friday, June 30, 2017 by 11:59 PM ET. Register online. Accepted participants receive a PDW registration code on July 14th. The application may be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/RIR-HCM.
