We are currently engaged in a national search for Department Head within the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health. The Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health is entering its 15th year with an established track record of federal and state grants, and health policy positions of national visibility. The School is home to the National Science Foundation-funded Center for Health Organization Transformation, a CDC-funded Prevention Research Center, the Southwest Rural Health Research Center, and a CDC-funded public health preparedness center. In addition to its faculty generating approximately eight million in annual research expenditures, the School has a growing health services research program, 338 graduate students, 12 master's degree programs, three doctoral degree programs and a public health certificate program. The Department of Health Policy and Management and School offer excellent opportunities for research and teaching-oriented faculty. The Texas A&M University System offers an excellent environment for research and academic collaboration and professional growth.
The Department of Health Policy and Management is comprised of 18 faculty members, including three of who were awarded the title of Regents Professor by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents. The department's faculty members are highly committed to excellence in research, teaching, and outreach.
