| As we draw near the end of 2017, it's time to start thinking about New Year's resolutions. A good resolution for 2018 is to engage more with the HCM Division. And a great place to put that resolution into practice is to sign up today and select the keywords that best match your interests and expertise here. |
The 2018 review period will be between January 17th to February 15th. In addition to doing great service, the HCM Division also formally recognizes high quality reviewers annually with "outstanding reviewer" awards at the business meeting.
We would also like to invite you to submit your work to the HCM Division to benefit from insightful feedback from your colleagues, and to join our program at the 2018 AOM Conference in Chicago, Illinois from August 10-14, 2018. You can do so in one of two ways:
- Submit a PDW Proposal. HCM sponsors PDW proposals that are developmental, innovative, interactive, and inclusive. In crafting your proposals, remember experiential learning and interaction must be promoted in every proposal. Additionally, clear and feasible logistical plans and firm commitments from all presenters are necessary proposal components. Questions? Contact PDW Chair, Sara Singer.
- Submit to the Scholarly Program. The HCM division provides constructive, developmental feedback on submissions to the scholarly program. Every year the HCM division recognizes outstanding submissions with four awards: the best paper submitted to HCM, the best student paper submitted to HCM, the best theory to practice paper, and best global paper. Questions? Contact Program Chair, Tim Vogus.
Things to consider when submitting for the PDW and Scholarly Program:
- What is this year's theme? We encourage scholars to think about this year's Academy theme –"Improving Lives" – when preparing their submissions. This theme seems ideally suited to the work of HCM scholars as it's core to what we do.
- How to Submit? Click here to submit now, or to learn more about the submission process.
- When to Submit? The submission system opens Tuesday, November 28, 2017, and closes on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 5:00pm ET (NY Time).
Thank you for your involvement with HCM. We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
Best wishes,
Tim Vogus
