    Faculty Position in Healthcare Management

     

    The University of Texas School of Public Health (UTSPH), invites applications for an open-rank, full-time tenure-track faculty position in healthcare management.  The position is based in the Division of Management, Policy and Community Health, and the faculty member is expected to be a key contributor to our Fleming Center for Healthcare Management.  We are seeking applicants who can conduct research and teach in the MPH and PhD programs in healthcare management. We are especially interested in candidates with teaching or research backgrounds in operations, strategy, information technology, and healthcare organizations that serve underserved and minority populations. 

     

    We seek an outstanding researcher and educator who will effectively teach MPH and PhD healthcare management courses to a diverse student population. This individual must be able to guide and mentor students in their academic and career pursuits. This individual must also have a distinguished record of original research, with proven ability to secure extramural funding, and ongoing and planned research.  The UTSPH research environment provides unparalleled opportunities to collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers at UTSPH, other campuses throughout the UT system, and numerous organizations within the Texas Medical Center.  With 150 faculty and 1400 students, UTSPH is located in the renowned Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. Houston, Texas is the 4th largest city in the US, has mild winters, and a diverse population.

     

    Applicants must have an earned doctorate in health care management, business administration or health services research.  Applicants should have a track record of generating external research funding and publishing peer-reviewed publications, both of which are expectations for this position.
