AUPHA invites you to submit a proposal for Concurrent Sessions at the 2009 AUPHA Leaders Conference. AUPHA is dedicated to increasing management skills in the industry through our work with the leading educational programs in healthcare management and our partnerships and communication with the leaders in practice. On Tuesday, March 24, 2009 leaders from practice and academe will convene at the AUPHA Leaders Conference in Chicago, Illinois at the Hilton Chicago/Palmer House Hilton.
The Leaders Conference is designed to bring together these two groups in a unique exchange of information and ideas to discuss the latest developments in educating future healthcare leaders. Leaders Conference is held during the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
The meeting will begin with a joint AUPHA/ACHE Breakfast. Our featured speaker will be Larry Mullins, DHA, President & CEO, Samaritan Health Services. This complimentary breakfast is designed for healthcare executives and faculty who are in a position to influence and prepare future leaders in the healthcare field. This discussion among academics and practitioners will explore how together they can instill in their own cultures the public's mandate to healthcare to continuously change so their institutions measurably improve processes and outcomes.

The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) invites you to submit concurrent and poster session proposals for the 2009 AUPHA Annual Meeting. The AUPHA Annual Meeting is designed for everyone interested in having an impact on the future of healthcare management through education and is intended to stimulate innovation and creativity in the delivery of healthcare management education.
The 2009 AUPHA conference theme is "Innovation & Change: Preparing Today's Students to Lead Tomorrow's Healthcare". Conference session will focus on how healthcare management programs can prepare students not only to manage change in their organizations, but to lead change and to find innovative solutions to the chronic problems plaguing the health sector.
Program directors, faculty and healthcare executives from North America and beyond will meet to share, learn and network at the AUPHA Annual Meeting. The meeting features a wide range of interactive sessions on innovative healthcare management education as well as ample networking time so please make plans now to join us in Chicago June 29 – July 2, 2009.
Proposals must relate to healthcare management education at the graduate and/or undergraduate level or address learning, teaching, and/or evaluation methods that can be applied to healthcare management education.
