ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPENING
DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT, College of Business and Economics
POSITION: One tenure-track, Assistant Professor position for the Healthcare Management programs.
STARTING DATE: August, 2016.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. or equivalent in Healthcare Management or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education, qualifying the candidate as a Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards. Professional experience and expertise in healthcare management. Ability to teach in a related field, e.g., general management. Candidates should provide a record of or potential for scholarly activity and a record of effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication, and an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic environment.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The best applicant will have a secondary area of teaching and scholarly interest that complements the current faculty. Areas of need include one or more of the following: corporate social responsibility, management, or supply chain management. Demonstrated administrative potential for coordinating programs in Healthcare Management, including mentoring and recruiting students, recommending faculty, developing the curriculum, coordinating courses, and managing relations with healthcare executives in the community. Active engagement in relevant scholarly and professional organizations and networking is desired.
DUTIES: In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement and committee service for the Department, College of Business and Economics, and the University.

SALARY RANGE: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. An additional stipend for program administration may be negotiated.
