Good afternoon,
Apologies in advance for cross-posting.
Do you have students or former students that are considering applying to PhD programs in management? If so, please read on!
Southern Management Association is sponsoring a pre-doctoral consortium and associated paper track again this year (Savannah, GA. Nov 11th-15th). Both the paper track and the consortium are targeted at undergraduate students, Master's students, and working adults, who are considering applying to doctoral programs in management.
Deadlines:
Paper track - April 18th. This is a poster session, and is competitive. Guidelines for types of papers are broader than for the traditional paper sessions, as many of our submitters have no research training. Therefore literature reviews, term papers on management topics and similar are all appropriate in addition to the typical theoretical or empirical research papers.
Consortium - JUNE 27th (this is earlier than it has been in the past). Up to 20 participants will receive funding of $500 to assist with the cost of attending the conference. Applicants that have a paper in the poster session are given priority for that funding. All remaining funded seats will be competitively awarded.
Please see the attached application materials for more information.
Contact me for questions about the consortium (lford@sju.edu), and contact Aaron Hill for questions about the paper track (aaron.hill@okstate.edu)
We are looking forward to seeing lots of papers and applications for the consortium!
Lucy
