The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Boston University
School of Public Health invites applications for a new full-time faculty
position. Rank is open.
Duties will include teaching 2 to 4 courses year (the departmental core
course—Introduction to U.S. Health Policy, Delivery, and Management—and at
least one other course), and advising Master of Public Health students.
Each faculty member also is expected to maintain a portfolio of externally
funded scholarly research.
A doctoral degree in a related field is required. We seek faculty with a
teaching and research focus in one or more of these areas: pharmaceutical
management and policy, health system transformation, strategy, operations,
health care finance, or health policy, along with knowledge of issues in
health care management. The department offers M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees. It is affiliated with a two-site health services research center
of excellence funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Faculty work under a system of continuously rolling multi-year appointments;
length corresponds to faculty rank and annual merit reviews. No BUSPH
faculty are tenured.
