The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) at the Harvard School of Public Health seeks candidates for the position of assistant or associate professor of health care management. This is a tenure-ladder position, with the academic rank to be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and productivity. The successful candidate will play a central role in the department’s program of teaching and research.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications: a doctoral degree in a field related to management or an MD degree with advanced professional training in a management related discipline, a strong background in management research, ability to teach graduate-level management courses, and the capacity to work with interdisciplinary groups. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for distinguished research and educational activity in areas at the intersection of the fields of management, public health, and health care. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to progress to a leadership position in research programs in public health/health care management in such areas as operations management, organizational studies, leadership, financial management, or strategic management in health care. In addition, the candidate will teach in the school’s academic degree programs and advise doctoral and masters students.
