Notwithstanding the value of existing scholarly and practice-based insights in leadership and leadership development, leaders actually enacting leadership knowledge and behavior at work remain a major concern for organizational and individual development. It has been argued that translation is required to overcome the current disconnects between leadership theory and practice. The purpose of this workshop is to open a debate between the communities of leadership and leadership development researchers and practitioners about the hurdles and opportunities in addressing the translational challenges of enacting leadership, and probably more - and also to inspire extensions of current efforts to increase the relevance and usability of leadership research. To that end we invited six panelists who present different lenses on the theme and represent academia, practice and both by working at the practice theory intersection
