The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Boston University School of Public Health invites applications for two new full-time faculty positions. Ranks are open. A doctoral degree in a relevant field is required.

Duties will include teaching 2 to 4 courses per year (possibly the departmental core course—Introduction to U.S. Health Policy, Delivery, and Management—and at least one other course), and advising Master of Public Health students. Each faculty member also is expected to maintain a portfolio of externally funded scholarly research.

We seek faculty with a teaching and research focus in one or more of these areas: health policy, health care management, health system transformation, strategic or operations management, health care finance, or pharmaceutical management and policy. The department offers M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. It is affiliated with a two-site health services research center of excellence funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Faculty work under a system of continuously rolling multi-year appointments; duration corresponds to faculty rank and annual merit reviews. No BUSPH faculty are tenured.

Boston University is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Please send electronic copies of curriculum vitae, statement of teaching and research interests and experience, teaching evaluations (if available), and names of references to Ms. Karen Greene, Health Policy and Management Department, BUSPH, at molloyk@bu.edu. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, thus applicants should submit materials promptly. The search will remain open until the positions are filled.
