    THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH POLICY AND MANAGEMENT, UNC GILLINGS SCHOOL OF GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL seeks outstanding candidates for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in health care organization and management with expertise in organization behavior and theory. Review of applicants will begin on December 1, 2014 and will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2015. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, ScD) in health services research, management and organization, sociology, or a related discipline at the time of appointment. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to conduct high quality research in health care organization and management, secure extramural funding, teach relevant courses, and advise students from across our degree programs. Candidates must have completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree at the time of appointment. Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods and implementation science are preferred.
    The faculty and students of the Health Policy and Management Department are multidisciplinary and engage in research that encompasses a wide array of topics including implementation science, cancer, dental public health, mental health, children’s health, comparative effectiveness, and rural healthcare. Faculty come from varied backgrounds including finance, economics, decision sciences, policy, public administration, sociology, and other health management disciplines.
