Pre or Post Doc Job Opportunity - Research Associate and Data Analyst- National Work, Family & Health Network
Center for Work-Family Stress, Safety, and Health (an affiliate of the National Work, Family & Health Network) housed at The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence at Purdue University. Location: West Lafayette, Indiana or virtual telework location possible with periodic campus visits.

Dr. Ellen Ernst Kossek, incoming Research Director at The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence and Basil S. Turner Professor of Management in the Krannert School of Management, is seeking a research associate and lead data analyst to join the National Institutes of Health and Center for Disease Control funded Work, Family & Health Network (WFHN) research team. This individual will be part of a national team of researchers who are working to analyze data for the Center for Work-Family Stress, Safety and Health. The Center is an affiliate of the National Work, Family & Health Network and is a collaboration between Dr. Leslie Hammer of Portland State University and Dr. Ellen Kossek of Purdue University. The Work, Family & Health Network designs, implements and evaluates randomized field experiments that involve workplace interventions to reduce work-family conflict and improve employee and family health. The expected start date of this position is January 2013 with the potential for annual renewal. The ideal candidate will be extremely well organized, both a self starter and team player, good communicator, detail oriented, and possess excellent analytical skills and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Successful candidates will either have completed most of their coursework other than dissertation, or possess a PhD. in the social sciences, management or related area and possess strong statistical and computer statistics skills (e.g., SPSS, SAS, HLM). Qualitative data analysis skills, such as Atlas familiarity, are desirable, but not required. This is a full time position, but flexibility is possible if candidates are finishing up dissertation work or have other needs. Some travel may be required.
