Dear AOM members,
Before you leave for Orlando, I would like to remind you of our PDW on
"Success of Health Care Technologies - An International Perspective on
Research Opportunities".
The goal of this session is to foster a general understanding of challenges
and opportunities of international research collaborations in the field of
health care and medical technologies. It is designed to engage participants
in an interactive discussion on potential collaboration opportunities and
possibly concludes with explicit proposals for transnational projects.
The focus of the discussion on potential collaborations will center on the
following three topics:
- Patient Organizations for Rare and Chronic Diseases: Potential as
Innovation Community for Medical Technologies (presented by Carsten
Schultz/University of Kiel)
- Diffusion, Dissemination and Implementation of Innovations in Healthcare
(presented by Sandra Buttigieg /University of Malta)
- Accelerating the uptake of promising clinical innovations (presented by
Dimitrios Spyridonidis/Imperial College London)
