JPO brief update

Dear Member of the JPO family:

We are proud to publish JPO 5(1), just six years since we first conceived of JPO, five years since we started accepting submissions, and four years since our first issue. This latest issue includes an essay in honor of Hüseyin Leblebici and his contributions to our field. After publishing our beautiful hard copies for the first four years, we have eventually succumbed to the "online" trend. We heard recently that JPO was rated in the 2 "ABS" category by the Academic Journal Guide --another milestone on our path to elite status.

This year we are continuing with all the events and activities that were pioneered in our first four years: the Professional Development Workshop at the Academy of Management, partnership with EGOS group (see link), partnership with the Oxford Saïd PSF conference (see link), and the best-paper award sponsored by the Oxford PSF Hub. Also, for the first time we will be featured at the EGOS "Meet-the-Editor" sessions-Sabina Siebert will be representing JPO.

Another innovation: A few weeks ago we circulated a call for our first "Review Issue" – copy of the CFP attached.

We are continuing to publish three issues per year, continuing to work hard at giving our authors fast and constructive feedback. Averages time to first letter is 27 days, 42 days excluding desk rejects. And in general we continue to attract and publish submissions from reputable scholars as well as rising stars, making important contributions to the field.

Finally, we encourage each of you to consider submitting your work to JPO and to cite appropriate JPO publications (see https://academic.oup.com/jpo/issue and https://academic.oup.com/jpo/advance-articles) in all your relevant writings.

And please feel free to be in touch with us with any comments, questions and/or suggestions.
