    Assistant Professor – Healthcare Administration (Tenure Track)

    Department of Management and Marketing

    Southeast Missouri State University

     

    Primary Responsibilities

     

    ·         Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare administration and management, and undergraduate courses in management (Normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester and may involve ITV and online instruction.)

    ·         Provide supervision for internships and independent studies in healthcare

    ·         Produce scholarly publications consistent with AACSB accreditation and institutional standards

    ·         Provide department, college, and University service according to departmental tenure and promotion guidelines

     

    Required Qualifications 

     

    ·         PhD/DBA/DHA or ABD (Doctorate completed by August 2015) in Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Policy, Healthcare Informatics, Management, or a closely related discipline (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/ government certified university.)

    ·         Work experience in the healthcare setting strongly desired

    ·         Demonstrated ability to deliver highly effective teaching for topics in healthcare management and administration

    ·         Demonstrated ability to facilitate experiential learning activities

    ·         Demonstrated ability to produce quality research related to healthcare management and administration

    ·         Demonstrated commitment to collegiality and collaboration within the University community and interest in interacting with external constituents

    ·         Evidence of effective communication skills across diverse groups

    ·         Demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities

    Departmental Information:  Information regarding the Department of Management and Marketing may be found at: http://www.semo.edu/managementandmarketing.  The Department of Management and Marketing has 15 full-time faculty and approximately 550 undergraduate majors. It is part of the Harrison College of Business which is AACSB accredited and has approximately 1400 business majors.
