The Department of Public and Health Administration in the College of Business and Public Management at the University of La Verne is seeking to hire a full time faculty member for our Health Services Management Program for the fall term 2015. This is a tenure track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level depending upon qualifications and experience. The Department is seeking someone who can teach health service management courses. Ideally, the Department is looking for a person having demonstrated knowledge of and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas:
• Healthcare Economics & Financial Management
• Legal & Ethical Issues
• HSO Informatics
The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in healthcare management, a strong commitment to excellence, and demonstrated ability in teaching, research, and be active in professional health services organizations and associations. The Health Services Management (HSM) graduate and undergraduate programs have been offered at the University of La Verne for over thirty-five years. The HSM Program was the first in the Western United States to focus on practicing clinicians, physicians, and those in supervisory/mid management positions seeking to develop their management skills and practice. The Health Services Management Program is dedicated to developing scholarly practitioners throughout all sectors of the health services industry including providers, suppliers, and payers.
