The Department of Health Administration, School of Allied Health Professions, Virginia Commonwealth University, seeks a 12-month non-tenure track colleague to direct its executive masters of health administration (MSHA) program. In addition to providing leadership to this CAHME-accredited hybrid on-campus/online program, this individual will develop and lead our professional development activities, including several existing collaborative programs with the VCU School of Business and the Langston Center in the VCU School of Nursing. S/he will also teach, and engage in Departmental, university, and professional service activities.
We seek a candidate with an MHA, MSHA, MBA or equivalent degree and at least five years of leadership experience in a health care organization, and a commitment to providing a high quality educational program. Candidates with prior teaching experience, particularly with mid-career students and/or distance modalities are preferred, as are candidates with a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, experience in program direction in a program subject to accreditation standards.
